WINNERS REVEALED AT THE AEO PEOPLE’S AWARDS 2024
The second AEO People’s Awards in association with Aztec Event Services & Whitespace Group attracted 270 attendees to the Business Design Centre on the 26th of January, as the event welcomed finalists from marketing, ops, sales, content and support functions and their teams.
The event was hosted by Finlay Christie, who has appeared on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), The BBC New Comedy Awards, Get Off My Phone! (Dave) and Jokes Only An AI Can Tell (Channel 4). He has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival and across Europe for the Comedy Store.
His first script “Born to Rule” was optioned by Shane Allen of Boffola Pictures. The pilot starred Miles Jupp and Isaac Hempstead-Wright.
Chris Skeith OBE, chief executive of AEO says: ““The atmosphere for the second edition of the AEO People’s Awards surpassed our expectations, with a remarkable surge in both entries and attendees. Recognising the diverse talent, and future leaders, alongside the unsung heroes at the heart of our industry is not only fitting but essential.
It was incredibly rewarding to see so many new faces, who have chosen our brilliant industry to forge their careers, and to hear of their incredible successes so far on their journey.
Finlay masterfully captured the mood in the room.
A huge thank you to every supporter who contributed to bringing the event to life, with kudos to the judges, sponsors, partners, and, of course, the dedicated AEO team. It was an extraordinary effort.
This year, we introduced a sit-down meal, a dance floor, a sophisticated dress code, and captured the winners on video to enhance the experience. We hope our attendees enjoyed it as much as we did.”
