Account Manager

We are looking for an exceptional individual to sell across our exhibitions, websites, awards and magazines in the hair and beauty sectors where we connect manufacturers, distributors and suppliers with the key decision makers.
Based in Wimbledon Village, the Professional Beauty Group is the UK’s largest B2B advertising and exhibition organiser for the hair, beauty, spa, aesthetic and barber sectors and our portfolio of world recognised events, magazines and online platforms continuously support the industries they serve.
This role will be dedicated to the Hair Portfolio including –
- Salon International, Barber Connect and PB&HJ Ireland – the industry’s biggest shows in the UK and Ireland – these events are recognised globally with our flagship London event attracting over 300 brands and in excess of 30,000 visitors
- Hairdressers Journal International and Modern Barber – industry leading, web social platforms plus print magazines with a clearly defined readership
- British Hairdressing Awards, British Hairdressing Business Awards and Modern Barber Awards – these events recognise creative talent and business expertise
- www.hji.co.uk and www.modernbarber.co.uk are the industry’s online portals
Overview
This role comes with a large database of clients so the ability to prioritise and develop innovative ways to cover all clients – and meet their needs - is crucial. From key accounts to those that have not yet been fully developed, we are looking for a committed person to join the team to increase the number of active clients, their average order value, and increase the number of products that they are using. Whilst achieving all of this, we also want to offer really high levels of customer service and develop strong relationships.
The role will demand both telephone contact and face-to-face meetings.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years proven sales experience, must have media sales experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies
- Self-motivated with an ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and excellent command of English

Typical hours are 9am-5.30pm, 4 days in the office. However, we try to accommodate parents and carers, so start / finish times are open to discussion.
