The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced events marketer to join the Clarion Gaming team in the London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cross channel marketing campaigns on key exhibitions, including the relocation to Barcelona of our biggest show ICE 2025 - the gaming industry's most influential event, welcoming over 45,000 industry professionals to our home that spans over 110,000m2 of exhibition space. The Campaign Executive will also be involved in supporting the development of other marketing campaigns across our product mix.
The successful candidate will join the organisation at an incredibly exciting time as we relocate ICE from London (its home of 84 years) to Barcelona. This will be no easy feat, and we are looking for a candidate who is highly driven and highly skilled to embark on this journey with us. All eyes are on this project, and so this is the perfect role for someone looking to raise their profile and make a name for themselves within the industry.
We are looking for a strategic and creative thinker with significant experience in B2B event marketing or similar, with a strong focus on email marketing and cross-channel copywriting. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be an excellent team player and have the ability to organise their time to manage multiple projects. The candidate will work closely with the respective team members across departments, e.g. Sales, Production and Operations, to achieve their required objectives, as well as liaising with external suppliers for the delivery of our campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-tasking to work on multiple event campaigns at any one time throughout the year.
- Supporting the creation, prioritisation and management of marketing activities and create a schedule of marketing tasks to deliver work accurately and on time.
- Managing and executing complex and targeted email marketing campaigns - including copywriting - and managing the monitoring, performance reporting and ongoing analysis.
- Maximising the use of the email automation platform, with a view for ongoing testing.
- Supporting the planning, development, production and repurposing of content for accurate delivery of the campaign customer journey across all touchpoints and channels – a proactive approach is essential.
- Developing and delivering qualified leads for the Delegate Sales team and SPEX team respectively via targeted communications.
- Supporting the accuracy and tracking of the marketing budget through raising PO's and adding expenditure accurately onto the marketing trackers.
- Utilising the CRM Systems and marketing technology tools to do the day-to-day marketing activity to build emails, templates, marketing assets and create customer data segments.
- Undertaking copywriting for the website, emails and social media – ensuring the delivery of the brand standards through accurately interpreting the brand tone of voice, brand personality, USP and positioning and messaging is tailored towards individual customer segments.
- Working with sponsors, exhibitors and speakers to promote the events with their networks
- Assisting with the development of customer programmes, including our internal features and special events (Pitch ICE, Sustainable Gaming Zone and more).
- Remaining up to date with latest communications tools, assess their deployment to drive marketing effectiveness and promote a culture of testing and change to continuously drive improvement.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Previous experience in a marketing role in a B2B events environment or similar.
- Significant demonstrable experience in email marketing and copywriting.
- A proven track record of implementing successful marketing communications campaigns.
- Experience using marketing automation and CRM systems (preferably Pardot and Salesforce).
- Good knowledge of digital marketing practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Proven understanding of tracking and response reporting.
- Available to travel and work on-site at our shows in London and Barcelona.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Multi-tasking and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise relevant tasks.
- Personal motivation and proactivity are a must for this role.
