Decanter Events & Awards Project Manager - 10 Month Maternity Cover

As the Events & Awards Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Events & Awards Director by managing charity partnerships and securing drinks sponsorships for our events and awards. You will oversee internal teams travel and accommodation arrangements for bothDecanter is the world’s leading wine media brand, with a monthly total reach of 2.2m+. Decanter provides authoritative content, independent advice, and inspirational events & competitions. UK  and international events and awards. Additionally you will assist in the planning and execution of ad hoc in house and additional events and projects throughout the year. You will also be required to support onsite at UK events and awards where necessary. 

What you'll be doing...

You will oversee the Events & Awards Assistant, who is currently managing budget responsibilities and supporting the Events Manager and Awards Manager  with staffing and equipment needs for events and awards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist Events & Awards Director with all charity partnerships & mentorship programmes 
• Managing the drink sponsorship opportunities at events & awards working closely with Event Manager on the requirements, working with the commercial & editorial teams for any possible leads. 
• Management of travel & accommodation arrangements for internal staff for UK & International events & awards 
• Onsite support at UK events & awards 
• Support in organisation & running of additional events (Judges Party, in house events and other ad hoc projects) when required

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

• Proven Event / Project Management experience 
• Genuine interest and passion for working with wine is a requirement 
• Wine knowledge is preferred but not essential 
• Thorough attention to detail, organised and ability to multitask
• A strong team player
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

The expected range for this role is £29,000 - £45,000

This is a hybrid role from our London office, working three days from the office, two from home.
