The Opportunity:

iGB Affiliate, the leading events and intelligence provider in the igaming affiliate space, is looking for a talented and ambitious journalist.

Responsible for the delivery of fresh, engaging and educational content for igaming and digital marketing professionals across digital, live and print channels, they will be joining the iGB Affiliate brand at a critical time as it expands into new geographies and communities.

Their responsibilities will be wide-ranging, from writing daily news and features to commissioning industry experts, conducting video interviews and hosting webinars and podcasts.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed self-starter looking to develop their digital and print skills, as well as learning new ones, within a vibrant and fast-growing sector.

This role sits within Clarion Gaming’s industry-leading digital team, which is embarking on an ambitious period of growth.

iGB Affiliate (iGBA) is part of the Clarion Gaming division of Blackstone-owned Clarion Events, which includes ICE Barcelona, Europe’s largest gathering of gaming industry professionals, and the sector’s leading igaming publishing and events brand, iGB, in its portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write features and interviews across digital and print channels.
  • Write and oversee delivery of daily news stories and develop source list.
  • Upload digital content to iGBAffiliate.com
  • Monitor performance of digital content using analytics and KPIs.
  • Ensure output adheres to iGBA’s editorial policy, quality control and brand guidelines
  • Collate and send newsletters.
  • Come up with fresh industry topics and themes across digital, print and live formats.
  • Identify relevant contributors and speakers.
  • Contribute to content agendas for live events including iGB Affiliate Barcelona and iGB Live!
  • Plan and film interviews for video content.
  • Provide assets for content marketing by marketing team.
  • Represent the brand at events, conferences and evening functions.
  • Commission, edit and publish pieces from external contributors.
  • Cultivate and manage network of trusted industry contacts and contributors.
  • Support editors on daily news and PR cycles.
  • Moderate webinars and conduct video interviews, podcasts and live blogs.
  • Support the content team in delivering commercial products.
  • Participate in publishing process of print magazines.
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects as required, such as the iGB Affiliate Awards.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours

  • Prior knowledge of the gambling sector would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of marketing content on social platforms, email marketing and marketing campaigns would be advantageous.
  • Prior editorial experience of writing news, features or interviews preferable but will consider demonstrable solid writing ability.
  • Hungry to learn and improve all aspects of your journalistic skills.
  • Keen networker at ease in all circumstances.
  • Willingness to listen and able to take criticism on board.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to interpret relevant analytics and KPIs and translate these into discernible improvements in content output and quality.
  • Flawless grammar and proofing skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously, flexibly and calm under pressure.
  • Creative approach to work and problem solving.
  • Perceptive and creative; contributing to the visualisation of content.
  • Capable of quickly assimilating and building market/company/product knowledge.
  • Willing to travel abroad as required.
