Strategy & Development Executive

Montgomery Group is a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to innovation and growth. We are looking for a proactive and analytical Strategy & Development Executive to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping our company’s strategic direction.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Strategy & Development Executive, you will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, providing critical insights and recommendations to drive business growth. You will work closely with The Chief Growth Officer and senior leadership team to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and implement key business strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

M&A, JV Partnerships, and Launches

• Support acquisitions and JV opportunities from target identification to negotiation and closing.
• Conduct desk and primary research.
• Prepare and analyse data.
• Create and deliver presentations.
• Assist in building and monitoring acquisition integration plans to ensure success.
• Develop a launch pipeline and go-to-market process for strong event launches.

Growth Strategy Development

• Support the Group MD and team in developing growth strategies.
• Ensure strategies are data-driven with a clear roadmap and business case.
• Develop detailed growth strategies for the five largest events.
• Assist smaller teams in crafting ‘lighter’ growth strategies.

Strategy, Revenue Management, Event Planning, and Market & Customer Insights

• Support event teams in building data-driven event plans.
• Hold teams accountable for effective event plan presentations.
• Review and recommend pricing models.
• Support insight capabilities within the business.
• Work with external agencies and internal stakeholders to enhance customer and market insights.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Strong education in Business Strategy, Economics, or Mathematics.
• 1-2 years of experience in Business Development, Strategy, or a Commercial role within media/events, preferably with M&A, JV, and product launch experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data to support decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to motivate and empower others.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Creative thinker with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Passionate, proactive, and capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a can-do, will-do attitude.

The central London, dog friendly offices are close to Oxford Street & Marylebone High Street with private access to Manchester Square Gardens. Hybrid working is offered to all applicants with a minimum of at least 4 days in the office, Monday to Thursday. Core hours are 9-5pm, flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business.​
